8. Operating Instructions
The KLM-2000 is a cable-length measuring device based on the reflection of a
high-frequency signal.
The following measurements can be carried out:

Network cable: RJ 45 plug

Coax Cable: BNC plug

Multi-pole cable: BNC connector with the supplied adaptor
Only one end is required at a time.
To turn on the device, press the EXIT / POWER button. To switch off, press and
hold the EXIT / POWER button until OFF appears on the display. (The device
switches off automatically after about 10 - 60 minutes without button
actuation.)
The operation of the device is menu-guided. The individual steps are explained
below. The general rule is: you select a menu with UP and DOWN, with TEST /
OK you call this submenu. With EXIT / POWER you return to the previous
menu.
After switching on, the display shows the function cable length measurement.
To enter the main menu, press the EXIT / POWER button.
Press the EXIT / POWER button again to return from the main menu to the
cable length measurement feature.
The VOP value of the cable is essential for the measurement.
