Subnet
A small network used as a unit of administration when
a larger network is divided into smaller networks.
Large networks in corporations, for example, the net-
work can be broken down into smaller networks
called "subnets" to make the network more manage-
able and lines used more efficiently. In this case,
these smaller networks are called subnets.
