Remove the thermal transfer film
and carefully wipe any dirt or stains
off the platen roller and pick-up
roller.
•
For details on removing the thermal transfer
film, see page 21.
•
Dampen a soft cloth with neutral kitchen
cleaner diluted in water, wring the cloth
thoroughly, and wipe the entire surface of the
rollers while rotating them. If this does not
remove all dirt, wipe with a cloth dampened
with ethyl alcohol.

Install the thermal transfer film in its
original position, close the printer
door, and load the copy paper.

film, see page 18.
•
Close the printer door firmly until the latches
on both sides of the printer make a clicking
sound.
Notice
•
If “
” flashes after closing the
printer door, make sure that the thermal
transfer film has been installed properly and
tightened.
•
The printer door should be closed to make
copies properly. Confirm both latches are locked.
When the clock battery has been drained, the time
setup menu is displayed each time the unit’s power
is turned on.
Replace the battery as follows and set the current
time (

Loosen the screw attached to the
left side of the Control Panel

, then
remove the battery holder

•
Do not loosen any other screws.

Remove the old battery and install
the new one with the positive (
)
terminal upward.
•
Always use “CR2032” batteries and be sure
that the battery is inserted as indicated on the
battery holder. If the direction is wrong, the
time which was set when the power was
turned off will be reset.

Set the battery holder with the
battery side upward and retighten
the screw in step 1.

Set the current time. (
•
If a 2-digit number appears in the Display
Window, refer to steps 4 and on in the section
of “Setting the current time” to set the current
time.
Notice
•
Dispose of expired battery quickly, by covering
the terminals in tape and following the disposal
regulations in your country/area.
