Dividing files
You can divide 1 file into 2 files at a specified position. A necessary part can be extracted
or an unnecessary part of a file can be cut.

While playing, press
STOP
at
the point where you wish to
divide the file.

/DIVIDE

“YES” and

to
enter.

While the file is being divided, the
recording indication flashes.
Then, the file is divided into 2 files and
the playback stops at the beginning of
the second file.
To exit the division screen, press
/DIVIDE
.

Files in the “M” folder cannot be divided.
*
A file length of approx. 2 seconds or
more is necessary for dividing a file.
*
You cannot divide a file at the beginning
of the file.
*
Divided files cannot be recovered.
*
After the file is divided, the number
of files in the folder increases by one.

If a file containing index marks is divided,
the index marks will disappear after the
file is divided. (

If there is no empty space in the Built-
in Memory, or if there is already a total
of 199 files in the folder, you cannot use
this function to divide a file.
