You can store up to 50 names and phone numbers in the phonebook
using the handset. All phonebook items are sorted by the first word in
alphabetical order. Using the phonebook, you can make a call by
selecting a name on the display.
You cannot access numbers stored in another handset or the base unit
from a handset.
Storing Names and Numbers in the
Phonebook
Make sure the handset is in the standby mode initially.

Enter a phone number, up to 32 digits.

If you misdial, press
(OFF/CLEAR)
. Digits are
erased from the right.

Enter a name, up to 16 characters using
the dialing buttons (p. 37).

To move the under bar to the right,

A beep sounds.
•
The display will return to step 1.
•
After 10 seconds, the display will return to the
standby mode.
•
If you do not press any buttons for 10 seconds in step 3, the display will return to
step 1.

You can exit the programming mode any time by pressing and holding
(OFF/CLEAR)

If a pause is required for dialing, press
in step 1. A pause can be
stored in a phone number counting as one digit (p. 46).
•
If
is pressed without entering a name in step 3, “
NAME MUST NOT BE
EMPTY
” will be displayed. Enter a name (p. 37).
•
If the display shows “
PHONEBOOK IS FULL
” in step 2, press and hold
(OFF/CLEAR)
to exit the phonebook list. To erase other stored items from the
phonebook, see page 41.
