You can also signal a busy party and request for a response during a
conversation. Simply press a button and you can let the busy party know you
are calling. Depending on how the busy party’s extension has been
programmed, you can:
•
Send a call waiting tone through the built-in speaker of the Digital System
Telephone or the handset of the Single Line Telephone (BSS: Busy
Station Signalling).
•
Talk through the built-in speaker on the busy party’s telephone (OHCA:
Off-Hook Call Announcement*

).
•
Talk through the handset on the busy party’s telephone (Whisper
OHCA*

). Your voice will only be heard by your called party (but not by
the person at the other end of the line).

The KX-TD612’s ISDN compatibility will bring more flexible and improved
call managing environment to your office. To each ISDN (BRI) port that is set
as S0-bus (ISDN extension), you can connect ISDN terminal equipment such
as cordless telephones, PCs, or G4 facsimiles.
