Operation (3D mode)
The operations which are performed when the 3D mode has been selected are described in this chapter.
For details on the basic operations of the AV-HS450 and on the operations which are performed when the 2D mode has been
selected, refer to the Operating Instructions of the AV-HS450.
Introduction
The 3D video signals consist of two video signals, the left-eye video signal and the right-eye video signal.
For the purposes of these instructions, the left-eye video signal will be referred to as “Lch” and the right-eye video signal as
“Rch”.
Similarly, the camera which outputs the two video signals of Lch and Rch (integrated twin-lens 3D camera or rig 3D camera) will
be referred to as the “3D camera”, and the camera which outputs one video signal will be referred to as the “2D camera”.
In the 3D mode, the processes (such as background transition, key and PinP) are performed in parallel for the input Lch and
Rch signals: This means that there is a set of buses (including the PGM buses, PST buses, key fill buses, key source buses)
and output signals (such as PGM, PVW and MV) for Lch and Rch respectively inside the AV-HS450.
