Chapter 4 Shooting — Setting the time data
Frame rate information recorded on user bits
Saving the frame rate values for the image information shot/saved according to the frame rate set in the main menu
→
[SYSTEM MODE] to user bits
allows you to use the editor (personal computer editing software).
Information is always saved in VITC UB.
In addition, selecting [FRAME RATE] in the main menu
→
[RECORDING SETUP]
→
[UBG MODE] saves the information in user bits (LTC UB) as well.
The same value as in the frame rate information obtained from VITC UB playback is also output as LTC UB during playback of clips recorded in native
format.

Setting the time code

Set the mode for time code in the main menu
→
[RECORDING SETUP]
→
[DF MODE]/[TCG].

[TC MODE] (When 59.94 Hz)
Sets [DF] (Drop frame mode)/[NDF] (non-drop frame mode).
In 24PN, the camera always operates in [NDF].

Sets [FREE RUN] (free run)/[REC RUN] (recording run).

Set to [TC PRESET] in the main menu
→
[RECORDING SETUP].

Set the time code using the control stick.

When pushed down to the right, the digit that has been to set (flashing) moves to the right.

When pushed down to the left, the digit that has been to set (flashing) moves to the left.

When pushed down toward the top, the value of the digit that has been to set (flashing) is raised by one.

When pushed down toward the bottom, the value of the digit that has been to set (flashing) is lowered by one.

Press the control stick, enter the values of the time code, and exit the time code settings screen.

Use the <COUNTER> button to display [TC] and confirm that the set value is displayed.

When using with 24P, the time code setting is adjusted in 5-frame units. When 24PN, adjusted in multiples of 4, and when 720/30PN and 720/25PN,
adjusted to even numbers. Also, the time code cannot be set during recording.

If you exit the time code setting screen without pressing the control stick, the set values are disabled.
t
When the <RESET> button is pressed while in the time code setting screen, the value is reset to 0.
