Off
- When the water boils, the appliance will stop automatically and the pilot light will turn off. The button will be
in the “O” position.
- The kettle can be turned off manually at any time.
NOTE: When the operating/stop switch is turned off, do not force it to position “I” since it will seriously damage
the functioning mechanism.
Cleaning
- Unplug the kettle from the current before cleaning it.
- Do not fully or partially submerge the kettle or the electric base in water or any other liquid.
- The kettle can be cleaned with a soft and damp towel after disconnecting the power plug. Do not use abrasive
cleaners.
- Soap or detergent can be used to remove the most annoying stains. Strong acids or corrosive cleaners must
not be used to clean the functioning mechanism.
- Be sure to dry the kettle base electric connector well before using it again.
Lime removal
- Clean lime from the inside of the jug on a regular basis in the following manner at least twice a year:
- Add a maximum of 1.5 liters of normal vinegar and water (/3 vinegar and 1/ water) to the kettle and boil it.
- Turn it off and unplug it from the wall.
- Let the vinegar stay in the inside of the kettle overnight.
- Discard the vinegar the next morning.
- Fill the kettle with clean water to MAX and boil it again.
- Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining lime and vinegar.
- Rinse the inside of the kettle with clean water several times.
