INSTALLATION
6.2
AIR INTAKE
On the wall where the stove is located, provide
two external air intakes with a diameter of 14 cm
provided with an anti-insect grille.
The holes are to be made at a height below that
of the hearth.
The air intake (
C
) will be used to provide air to the
combustion chamber.
Combustion chamber
.
The air intake (
V
) will feed the heating circuit.
The intakes must be at least 50 cm apart to avoid
heating circuit.
For connections that extend for more than one
metre, it is advisable to increase the diameter of
the duct for combustion air intake by 10% for each
additional metre in length.
6.2.1
Combustion air intake
The combustion air enters the stove compartment
from the air intake (
C
) and is drawn into the
combustion chamber through a duct located on the
rear part of the stove.
Make sure that the air intake is located in a way
that it cannot be obstructed by accident.
The UNI 10683 standard forbids the intake of
air for combustion from garages, rooms where
;
"
The external air intake hole must not be connected
< "
If there are other heating units in the room,
the combustion air intakes must ensure the
required volume of air for proper operation of
all devices.
In case in the room where the stove is installed
there are one or more extractors (such as kitchen
aspirators), some troubles to the combustion due
to the lack of comburent air might occur.

rooms)
The standard solution is shown in Fig. 6.2.2 where:
A
= Room air intake to heating circuit fan, placed
laterally to the cladding with protection grille or
millings.
V
= External air refresh intake to heating circuit fan
with anti-insect grille.
6.2.2.2 Solution for distributing hot air in more
than one room (up to 120 m
2
)
The solution for heating one large room or several
rooms (up to 120 m
2
) is shown in Fig. 6.2.3.
If it is necessary to heat one large room, air intakes
A
and
B
must be made laterally to the cladding.
If two rooms are to be heated, air intakes
A
must
be made laterally to the cladding and air intake
