CLaRaBELLa stoves features an innovative dual
combustion system:
PRIMaRy and SECOnDaRy to reduce pollutants
released into the atmosphere with a resulting HIGHER
THERMaL yIELD.
PRIMaRy COMBUSTIOn occurs by letting air into
the brazier through the slits, adjusted by a knob at the
bottom right on the outside of the ash box (Fig. 6.2.1):
• By moving the knob + to the RIGHT combustion is
quicker;
• By moving the knob - to the LEFT combustion is
slower.
The longer the stove has been lit, the stronger the flame
will be.
When lighting the stove for the first time in the day,
or with damp wood, the primary brazier air should
be opened completely. Once the fire is burning it is
advisable to adjust the air depending on how much heat
is required or how long you want the load of firewood
to last.
OLIVIa-BETTy-anTOnIa-STEFanIa-CLaRaBELLa
stoves features SECOnDaRy COMBUSTIOn which
is obtained by emitting preheated air into the hearth
through the holes at the top of the back panel. as it
enters the hearth, the O2 (oxygen) contained in the
air lights the unburned gases, in particular CO (carbon
monoxide) which formed during primary combustion,
transforming it into carbon dioxide (CO2). The effect
is easy to see by the formation of a carpet of flames
around the holes where the secondary air is let in.
6.4 HoW to use tHe door (fIG. 6.4.1)
To open the door grip the handle and turn it outwards.
The door must be kept closed when the stove is lit. Just
below the front top ceramic, between it and the door,
you will see the lever for adjusting the “glass cleaning
air” (R). It lets a flow of air through that strikes the inner
surface of the pyroceram keeping it clean. The quantity
of air increases if you put the lever on the right and
decreases if it is on the left.
The door is in pyroceram and is resistant to sudden
temperature changes of up to 800°C. However,
it is fragile and therefore should not be subject to
mechanical stress (blows, etc...).
When the fire is lit the door reaches high
temperatures.
When loading wood in the hearth, the door must be
opened in two stages, first slowly and partially (3-4
cm) to let the smoke be taken up the flue and then
completely which prevents smoke coming into the
room.
6.5 adJustInG tHe HandLe (fIG. 6.5.1)
The door handle is already factory-set for optimal
closing.
after a few weeks of use, further to normal re-alignment
of the sealing gaskets, it may be necessary to adjust
the handle to obtain perfect closing of the door.

6.3 KontroLLe der verBrennunG
Die Heizöfen OLIVIa-BETTy-anTOnIa-STEFanIa-
CLaRaBELLa sind mit einem neuartigen System der
doppelten Verbrennung ausgestattet:
Durch die PRIMÄRE und SEKUnDÄRE Verbrennung
werden die für die Umwelt schädlichen Emissionen
r e d u z i e r t u n d m a n e r h ä l t e i n e B E S S E R E
HEIZLEISTUnG.
Die PRIMÄRE VERBREnnUnG erfolgt durch
Einführen Luft durch das Gitter, die durch den außen
auf der Blende der aschenlade angebrachten Griff
(abb.6.2.1):
• Schiebt man diesen Hebel nach RECHTS erhält man
eine schnellere Verbrennung;
• Schiebt man diesen Hebel nach LInKS erhält man
eine langsamere Verbrennung
Je länger der Heizofen betrieben wird, umso stärker ist die
Flamme.
Bei der ersten Zündung des Tages oder bei feuchtem Holz
ist es ratsam, die Primärluftzufuhr der Feuerstelle ganz zu
öffnen. Bei gut brennendem Feuer ist es empfehlenswert,
die Luft je nach der gewünschten Wärmeleistung oder je
nach gewünschter Dauer der Holzmenge zu regulieren.
Die bei den Modellen OLIVIa-BETTy-anTOnIa-
STEFanIa-CLaRaBELLa vorgesehene SEKUnDÄRE
VERBREnnUnG erhält man durch Zufuhr von vorgeheizter
Luft durch die auf der oberen Seite der Bodenplatte des
Heizofens befindlichen Öffnungen in die Feuerstelle.
der in der Luft enthaltene Sauerstoff entzündet durch
seinen Eintritt in die Feuerstelle das nicht verbrannte
Gas (Kohlenmonoxid), das sich während der primären
Verbrennung gebildet hat, und wandelt dieses in
Kohlensäure (CO
2
) um. Die Wirkung ist an dem sich um
die Öffnungen der Sekundärluft bildenden Flammenbett
gut sichtbar.
6.4 HandHaBunG der tür (aBB.6.4.1)
Man öffnet die Tür durch anheben und nach außen
Drehen des Griffs. Die Tür, während der Heizofen
in Betrieb ist, geschlossen halten. Zwischen der
oberen Kachelblende und der Tür befindet sich eine
Reguliervorrichtung„ Glasreinigungsluft“ (R), mit deren
Hilfe man einen Luftzug aktiviert, der innen auf das Glas
gerichtet ist und so für dessen konstante Reinigung
sorgt. Die Luftmenge nimmt bei nach rechts gerichtetem
Hebel zu und bei nach links gerichtetem Hebel ab.
Die Tür besteht aus bis zu 800°C hitzebeständigem
Keramikglas, das jedoch leicht zerbrechlich ist und
demzufolge vor Schlägen und ähnlichem bewahrt
werden sollte.
B ei brennendem Feuer erreicht diese Tür sehr hohe
Temperaturen.
Beim Einschichten von Holz die Tür in zwei Phasen
öffnen: zuerst langsam und teilweise (ca. 3-4 cm),
damit der Rauch von der Feuerstelle in den Rauchfang
gesogen werden kann und dann ganz, damit kein Rauch
in die Umgebung entweicht.
