This is a null command and does not perform an internal function. Primarily, a NOP is used to write over data in a macro that
is no longer desired.

SYSTEM MODE
System mode determines what conditions are required to key the repeater, link or remote as well as pass repeat audio from the
receiver to transmitter. When the system is in mode 0 (Off), the repeater will appear dead to the users and all functions like
telephone and auxiliary are disabled. User commands and S-Command are still available. When the system is off, the
“SYSTEM” status LED will also be off. All other LED’s like COS and CTCSS will still show their associated status.
Modes 1 and 3 are used in normal repeater operation. Mode 2 supports a user that has a weak signal or may be falling out of
range. Also, if a user is “Talking-OFF” the CTCSS/DCS decoder.

PARAMETERS: Mode 0 = System off.

COS. Carrier access only.
Mode
2
=
Initial access with CTCSS/DCS and COS, then access is changed to only COS. This
function is reset when the transmitter drops. Use in applications where a user may have a weak
signal or the tone decoder is falling out of range.

COS and CTCSS/DCS access. Use for normal tone squelch operation.

4
=
Open squelch. The receiver will blow squelch noise to the transmitter only.

5
=
System on, repeat audio path off but repeat PTT still on. Used for non-repeating duplex
links. Audio is not repeated from the receiver to the transmitter. The receiver and transmitter
can still both be active at the same time. Use mode 1 through 3 for link loop-around
applications.
Mode 6 = System on, repeat audio path and PTT off. Used for monitoring the receiver in linked
systems. This may be called: Link Monitor mode.
Mode 7 = System on, repeat audio path off and receiver audio out auxiliary port is disabled when
PTT is active. Used for simplex remote base operation. When the transmitter is active, the
receiver is disabled.
DEFAULT: Mode 1 (COS - carrier access only)
EXAMPLE: 01 0 Turns off (disables) the Repeater PTT, Auxiliary PTT, and all telephone features
