Software
MPIO to manage the fault-tolerant paths with failover/
failback and load balance. Use MPIO multipath software
so that your operating system can identify alternate
paths to the same logical drive.
RAID configuration
2 logical drives (each has 8 member drives). More logical
drives can be created from drives in the expansion
enclosure.
LD0 mapped to CH0 AID, CH1 BID, CH2 AID and CH3
BID;
LD has to be assigned to both controllers A and
B to enable remote replication.
LD1 mapped to CH1 BID, CH0 AID CH3 BID and CH2
AID;
LD has to be assigned to both controllers A and
B to enable remote replication.
NOTE
In the event of Single-Controller failure, a logical drive is accessed through the host
IDs managed by the alternate controller. Host IDs and port IPs do not fail-over
to the surviving controller. Therefore, the MPIO multipath driver is necessary for path
redundancy and controller failover.
