MAINTENANCE
It is important that the trampoline’s main components are inspected and
maintained (e.g. frame, suspension, jumping mat, padding, net) at the beginning of
every season. Failure to inspect the trampoline may put people and users in danger.
The following inspection tasks are necessary and recommended:
•
Check all nuts and bolts and tighten as required.
•
Check that all spring-loaded joints are intact and cannot become dislodged when the
trampoline is used.
•
Check all coverings and sharp edges and replace when required.
•
Save the user manual for later use.
•
When setting up the equipment outdoors, it should be equipped with a measure that
will prevent the trampoline from moving in strong winds (e.g. by using ground anchors
or ballast such as sandbags) and parts that can catch the wind should be removed,
such as the net and jumping mat. In strong wind conditions, the net should be
removed and/or trampoline secured to the ground.
•
In certain countries the weight of heavy snowfall and very low winter temperatures can
damage the trampoline. It is recommended that snow is removed from the trampoline
and the safety net and mat are stored indoors.
•
Check the jumping mat, padding and net to ensure they have no defects. Replace the
net after two years of use.
