6.4 Typical Installation
6.5 Flushing the Piping Assembly
Do not fail to remove the meter from the piping assembly and install a short pipe in place of the meter. Costly
damage to the meter could result if you attempt to flush away construction debris and other foreign matter with
the meter left in place.
CAUTIONS: 1. Do not allow water to run across the meter, for it would be just a matter of time
before internal components gather rust and in time, rotors become hard to turn
freely.
2. Following the flushing process, be sure to clean the strainer net.
Or scale and other foreign matter, if left unchecked, may cause a damage to the
flowmeter during operation.
