6.2 Positioning belts
CAUTION
Incorrect approach to the adjustment process
Injuries, malpositions, user discomfort due to adjustment errors

The belt system may only be installed by qualified personnel.
►
The qualified personnel is responsible for the individual positioning and fitting of the belt system.
►
Adjusting the belt system too tightly may lead to unnecessary pain or user discomfort.
►
Adjusting the belt system too loosely can cause the user to slide into a dangerous position. In addition, the
fastening snaps could open unintentionally if they slide against hard parts of clothing (e.g. buttons).
►
For proper installation and adjustment, follow the instructions for use included with the product.
6.2.1 Strap guide
For improved belt guidance in the pelvic area, strap guides can be installed with the following options:

Lap belt of the five-point belt
•
Lap belt of the four-point belt
1) Attach the strap guide at the small bore hole on the inside of the rear seat frame (see fig. 19, item 1).
2) Guide the screw through the small bore hole from the outside (see fig. 19, item 2) and screw it into the strap
guide.
3) Put on the washer and cap nut from the inside. Do not fully tighten yet.
4) Take hold of the D-ring (see fig. 19, item 3).
5) Twist the D-ring inwards until it lies over the large bore hole (see fig. 19, item 4).
6) Tighten the washer and cap nut.
