8.3.1 Safety instructions for qualified personnel
CAUTION
Incorrect approach to the adjustment process
Injuries, malpositions, user discomfort due to adjustment errors

The belt system may only be installed by qualified personnel.
►
The qualified personnel is responsible for the individual positioning and fitting of the belt system.
►
Adjusting the belt system too tightly may lead to unnecessary pain or user discomfort.
►
Adjusting the belt system too loosely can cause the user to slide into a dangerous position. In addition, the
fastening snaps could open unintentionally if they slide against hard parts of clothing (e.g. buttons).
►
For proper installation and adjustment, follow the instructions for use included with the product.

Injuries, malpositions, illness of the user due to incorrect information

The qualified personnel is responsible for making sure that the user and/or attendant/nursing staff has under
stood the proper adjustment, use, maintenance and care of the belt system.
►
In particular, ensure that the user and/or attendant/care staff knows how to quickly loosen and open the
product to avoid delays in case of emergency.
8.3.2 Safety instructions for the user
WARNING
Incorrect application of the belt system/positioning aid
Strangulation, suffocation due to incorrectly placed positioning belts/positioning aids

Follow the instructions for proper application so that the user cannot slip into a position that would endanger
him or her.
►
Note that the user’s back must be up against the back support pad when securing the belt system/positioning
aid and during use of the product.
►
Do not use positioning belts or positioning aids if the user is able to sit without them.
CAUTION
Improper adjustments
Injuries, malpositions, illness of the user due to adjustment changes

The belt system is an important part of an individual seating unit/seating solution. Do not modify the installa
tion position and basic settings established by the qualified personnel.
►
In case of problems with these adjustments (such as an unsatisfactory sitting position), promptly contact the
qualified personnel who fitted the product.
►
Immediately
consult the qualified personnel if you detect signs of discomfort or fear when using the product.
►
Have the basic settings of the belt system checked regularly. Adjustments may be required due to the growth
of the user or because of changes in the course of the disease.
CAUTION
Improper use
Falls, user falling out due to improper use

The positioning system for the upper body must be put on when getting into the product and used in combina
tion with a positioning lap belt at all times while using the product.
►
Only open the positioning system for the upper body and the lap belt when the user is ready to get out of the
product.
►
Do not leave the user unsupervised if the cognitive abilities of the user could lead to unintentional opening of
the positioning system.
8.3.3 Lap belt
The standard equipment of the rehab buggy includes a simple lap belt. It provides additional support for the pelvis
and keeps the user from sliding out of the seat.
