2.1.1 Components
The product consists of the following components:
Rechargeable battery
The battery (see fig. 1, see fig. 2 and see fig. 3 , item 1) consists of two cells.
Charging receptacle
The charging receptacle (see fig. 1,see fig. 2 and see fig. 3, item 2) has the following functions:

Contact for charging the battery
•
LED to indicate the current charge level
•
LED for providing feedback on operating states
•
Button for turning the prosthesis on and off
•
Beeper for providing feedback on operating states
Supply cable
The supply cable (see fig. 1, see fig. 2 and see fig. 3, item 3) establishes the connection between
the product and the respective prosthetic component.
Electronics
The electronics (see fig. 1, see fig. 2 and see fig. 3, item 4) protect the battery against short cir
cuits, overvoltage, undervoltage and charging outside the allowable temperature range.
Communication cable
The communication cable (see fig. 1 and see fig. 2, item 5) is used to exchange data and con
nects the respective prosthetic components to the product.
INFORMATION
The communication cable is included only with the products 757B35=0, 757B35=1 and
757B35=3.
3 Intended use
3.1 Indications for use
The product to be used
exclusively
to supply energy to myoelectric upper limb prosthesis com
ponents.
3.2 Conditions of use
The product has been developed for use in everyday activities. It must not be used for activities
where it would be exposed to unallowable environmental conditions or strains (e.g. extreme
sports).
The product is intended
exclusively
for use on
one
patient. Use of the product by another person
is not approved by the manufacturer.
Permissible ambient conditions are described in the technical data (see page 20).
3.3 Contraindications
•
All conditions which contradict or go beyond the specifications listed in the section on
"Safety" and "Indications for use".
3.4 Qualification
The fitting of a patient with the product may only be carried out by O&P professionals who have
been authorised with the corresponding Ottobock training.
