4 Handling
INFORMATION
►
The daily duration of use and period of application are generally determined by the physi
cian.
►
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.
►
Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
►
Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Selecting the Size
1) Measure the waist circumference approx.
2 cm
above the iliac crest.
2) Determine the brace size (see size chart).
4.2 Adapt to patient
The height of the back plate can be customized to the needs of the patient.
1) Loosen the hook-and-loop closure of the back pad.
2) Mount the elastic bands of the abdominal strap at the desired position (see fig. 1).
3) Close the hook-and-loop closure of the back pad.
4.3 Application
CAUTION
Direct skin contact with the product
Skin irritation due to chafing or sweat formation

Do not wear this product directly on the skin.
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or exces
sively tight application

Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.

Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
►
Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for possible wear or dam
age.
►
Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.

The patient is standing.
>
The hook-and-loop closure of the abdominal strap is open.
>
The pull cable is completely loosened.
1) Center the back plate of the brace (see fig. 2).
2) Guide the brace around the torso and apply equal force to both sides to pull it forward.
