a) Put the gas nozzle on the workpiece b) HF-ignition c) arc ignited
Selection of the welding mode (standard or pulse)
To switch between the both possible welding modes, please press the button MODE until the
LED 12 (standard) or the LED 23 (pulse) lights up.
Standard-welding:
As soon as the welding current reaches the set value, the welding current is maintained
constant at this value during the whole welding process by the microprocessor control.
Pulse-welding:
During the pulse mode the welding current isn’t constant but changes between the pulse and
base current. The switch between these two values is performed by a pre-set frequency,
which can be set individually.
6.1 TIG-welding with HF-ignition
Arc-ignition:
The welding current is off. Please put the electrode to the point of weld.
Now put the torch with the edge of the gas nozzle on your workpiece in such a way,
that the distance between the tip of the electrode and the workpiece is approximately
2-3 mm.
Please protect your eyes with appropriate protective glasses.
Press the button of the torch now.
The arc ignites without touching the workpiece with the electrode.
Please tilt the torch in the standard position of welding.
Advantages:
The electrode and the workpiece can’t get dirty during the whole welding
process.
Important:
The high frequency switches off automatically.
