Selection of the arc ignition (LIFT-/ ARC-/HF-ignition)
LIFT- ARC
This ignition process makes it possible to reduce the emission of the electromagnetic
disturbances and contamination of the melt.
To choose one ignition method, please press the LIFT-HF button until one of the following
conditions occurs:
LED 16 lights up: Lift-arc + 2-stroke-mode
LED 17 lights up: Lift-arc + 4-stroke-mode
LED 17 and LED 15 lights up: Lift-arc + 4-stroke-mode Bi-Level
HF-ignition
This ignition process minimizes the wear of the tip of the electrode enormous. To choose this
ignition method, please press the LIFT-HF button until one of the following conditions occurs:
LED 18 lights up: HF-ignition and 2-stroke-mode
LED 19 lights up: HF-ignition and 4-stroke-Mode
LED 19 and LED 15 lights up: HF-ignition and 4-stroke-mode Bi-Level
Selection of the welding method (2-stroke/4-stroke or 4-stroke Bi-Level)
2-stroke (2T)
To choose the welding method, please press the LIFT-HF button until one of the following
conditions occurs:
LED 16 lights up: 2-stroke-welding (lift-arc)
LED 18 lights up: 2-stroke-welding (HF-ignition)
The device welds as long as you press the torch button.
The microprocessor control controls the up-slope and down-slope of the welding current and
the gas flow, so that an optimum welding process can be progressed.
