Important Information
The Relax Night Care is available in two standard sizes (30 or 40 cm). Please select the nearer sock length
dependent of the lenght of the residual limb. The sock can be reduced carefully if the residual limb < 30 cm.
CARE
Please use neutral soap for cleaning. This neutral soap is ideal for co-ordinated cleaning of the residual limb and
the Relax Night Care – apply just a few drops and rinse off with plenty of clean water. For perfect care wash the
Relax Night Care and your limb daily with the neutral soap. This stabilises the skin’s protective acid layer, and the
moisturising ingredients help your skin grow smoother. Please do not leave the damp Relax Night Care to dry on a
wet towel. Never dry the sock in the sun or on a radiator, simply leave it out to dry.
Warning: Please note that, in order to retain its function, the Relax Night Care must only be washed by hand in
warm water. Never wash Relax Night Care in the machine as any residual bleach will make Relax Night Care
ineffective!
Please remember that fragrances/colourants in many shower lotions, soaps, bath additives, deodorants, perfumes,
alcohol sprays etc. can cause skin irritation. In order to prevent possible skin problems do not use these articles on
your residual limb before wearing Relax Night Care.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
• Before using a prosthesis with Relax Night Care your prosthetist of choice must thoroughly examine and
document your individual circumstances (see Contraindications).
• If pain or skin irritation develop while wearing Relax Night Care please take it off immediately and consult your
doctor or specialist dealer.
• Beware of sharp fingernails and jewellery! To prevent any damage to the Umbrellan knit please slide your hands
into the sock carefully.
• Selection of the correct size is vital for the function and wearing comfort (see selection chart).
• The Relax Night Care must be washed carefully before using it for the first time (see care instructions).
• Do not cut off any part of the Relax Night Care.
• Do not wear your Relax Night Care in the prosthesis.
CE MARK/ COMPATIBILITY
All modular parts have been tested to EC Directive 93/42/EEC and bear the CE mark.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
It is recommended that this medical aid be used by one patient only. Product liability pursuant to the Medical
Devices Act becomes null and void if it is used for treating more than one patient.
