IFTING THE MACHINE
To lift the machine, first of all use a hoisting device with suitable capacity according to the
distance and the height the EWP is to be lifted to.
•
For lifting operations for maintenance or loading onto transport vehicles, only use
machinery (e.g. cranes, overhead cranes etc.) and load retention devices (e.g. ropes,
chains, hooks) with suitable capacity and in perfect working order; for the weight of the
machine, see the EWP’s technical specifications. The photo below shows how and where
the EWP must be attached.
•
When lifting the machine, it must be in transport configuration (extensible structure
completely closed and aligned, stabilisers completely lifted and undercarriage exten‑
ded). Otherwise, the machine would be unbalanced and lifting dangerous.
•
Never lift the machine with the operator on board.
•
During lifting, make sure that no people are in the area affected by the operations and
do not move the suspended machine over persons.
Never lift the machine if it is not secured as shown herein; if, for example, it were lifted by
attaching it to the arm, using devices for anchorage to the ground (above all not designed to
support the weight of the EWP) or simply passing a strap around any element of the arm,
the turntable and other machine parts would be loaded with forces they are not designed for.
There is a high risk of damaging the machine.
