Set the Recording Time of Incoming Message
You can set the maximum length of the recording time of the
incoming messages.

recording time.
5. Press <MENU/OK> to confirm.
Call Screening
Activate or Deactivate the Call Screening
1. Press <MENU/OK> and <UP/DOWN> to select
ANS. MACHINE
.
2. Press <MENU/OK> and <UP/DOWN> to select
TAM SETTINGS
.
3. Press <MENU/OK> and <UP/DOWN> to select
BS SCREENING
.
4. Press <MENU/OK> and <UP/DOWN> to select
ON
or
OFF
to
turn the call screening on or off respectively.
5. Press <MENU/OK> to confirm.
When the answering machine is on and takes a call, you can listen
to the caller leaving a message. You can then identify the caller and
decide whether to take the call in person.
If the answering machine is set to ON, when there is an incoming
message, the handset will display “
SCREENING?
”.
1. Press <MENU/OK> to start call screening. Any Handset can
listen to who is leaving the message and decide whether to pick
up the call or not.
2. The handset will display “
SCREENING
”.
3. You can adjust the earpiece volume by pressing <UP or
DOWN>.
OR
3. Press <Back> to return to previous screen and you cannot hear
the recording. At any time if you want to pick up the call, you
can press <TALK> and the message recording will be stopped
automatically. If the answering machine is in the process of
recording, the message already stored will be saved.
Change the Compression Rate
Three different compression rates (
HIGH
,
MEDIUM
and
LOW
)
are provided for you to select different quality levels of recording
incoming message. The lower the compression rate, the higher the
recording quality level attained, but the shorter the total recording
time available. (LOW=7 minutes, MEDIUM=10 minutes, HIGH=15
minutes approx).
