HEALTH & SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Before putting the equipment into operation please read the Health & Safety precautions, manu-
facturer recommendations and the operation/user manual.
• The operation manual should be easily available at any time for the operator.
• The equipment:
- should be placed on a strong, stable flat surface.
- should be protected against dust and moisture.
- must not be placed near heating or ventilation units.
- should not be used in the vicinity of inflammable liquids or gases.
- must be powered only through the original cord.
• A mains power socket sho uld be provided with an earth and a voltage supply consistent with the
parameters on the technical plate located on the housing and the technical data in this manual.
• Failure to follow the instructions and making any changes to the power cable, could cause an electric
shock or fire and cancel the guarantee.
• The power supply cable should be protected against damage, must not be used to move the equip-
ment or remove the plug from the socket.
• During a long standstill or before moving the equipment the plug should be removed from the mains
socket.
• The power pack module is installed in the base of the equipment and has a mains fuse.
• If replacement of the fuse is necessary, replace it with the same value glass fuse. This
should be done by a suitably qualified person.
• After replacing the fuse if it goes again you must contact your supplier or Opus technical support as
soon as possible.
• Do not touch the heater. BURN HAZARD.
• Before removing or replacing any typeface fonts or matrix/logo fixed in a frame , allow at least 5 and
10 minutes to ensure that the ele ments are cool. BURN HAZARD
• The equipment includes a sharp knife for cutting foil, pay attention when using the device and should
be kept away and out of reach of children.
• Must not be used for any other purposes than those indicated in the operating / user's manual.
• In case of any malfunctions, check if it is operated correctly and then contact the supplier or Opus
technical support.
• The equipment must not be kept or located outside and should be operated in a room.
• The equipment must be operated in accordance with general Health & Safety rules.
• Any repairs can be made only by trained staff.
• During the Guarantee period only OPUS engineers are allowed to carry out repairs failure to do this
will cancel the Guarantee.
• Do not use solvents or petroleum based products to clean the equipment.
•"CAUTION" when operating, hot or cold do not put hands or fingers under the heater it will cause an
injury.
• Always leave the arm (1) in the open position.
•The device should not be operated over 2000 meters above the sea level.

TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
• The GoldPress 5 is design generally for office and business use, it needs an electrical supply.
• Both the equipment and its packaging should not be exposed to wet or damp conditions.
• If the equipment is exposed to wet or damp conditions, the equipment should be taken to a
servicing point where a safety inspection can be carried out, to avoid fire or electric shock.
• Although the packaging will protect the equipment, it should be handled with care due to
electrical circuits.
