SETTING THE TEMPERATURE AND STAMPING TIME
• The best results for hot print stamping when using Opus foils and covers are obtained with
the following settings:
• Set the heater temperature to: 100 °C / 212°F
• Set the stamping time: 0,5 - 20 seconds
However, if the stamping results are not satisfactory, a change in the settings may be ne-
cessary. Setting the heater temperature, lift the handle to the maximum open position.
To change the temperature, press the „
⬆
” upward arrow or „
⬇
” downward arrow button
until you get the required temperature. When setting the temperature, the figures on the
display blink slowly. After you set the temperature you require, it is saved in the memory of
the Goldpress 5 and then it will show the current heater temperature until it reaches the
new value you have set, it can vary +/- 3°C / 37.4°F from the set temperature. The preset
stamping time appears on the display when the handle is in the maximum down position.
The countdown starts when you pull the handle down, when the set time is reached, END
appears on the display and you hear a bleep sound then lift the handle up. Stamping time
can be set between 0.5 up to 10 seconds. How to set the timer, pull the handle fully down,
then press the „
⬆
” up arrow or „
⬇
” down arrow button to change the timer, the numbers
on the display blink slowly and then the word ‘’ END’’ appears followed by a bleep to con-
firm. That means that the new settings have been saved in the memory.

COUNTER
The Goldpress 5 has a job counter, which counts how many hot print stamps have been
made. The number of operation appears for 2 seconds after lifting the handle to the fully
open position. If the handle is put down to change the stamping timer, the counter does
not recognize it as an operation. The job counter can be reset by turning off and on the
Goldpress 5, it will delete the counter every time when you switch off the equipment.
