Appendix 4 – Video Player Plugin Installation
VLC and Windows Vista
Configure the following settings in the VLC media player when running this plug-in on a
Windows Vista PC.
1.
Open the VLC media player.
2.
From the Settings menu, select
Preferences
.
3.
In the lower right corner, select the
Advanced options
check box.
4.
Expand the
Video
option and click
Output Modules
.
5.
In the Video output module drop-down list, click either
DirectX video output
,
OpenGL
, or
Windows GDI
.
6.
Expand
Output Modules
and click
DirectX
.
7.
Clear the
Use hardware YUV > RGB conversions
check box.
8.
Save your settings.
