PC Network Connection
This section demonstrates the steps required to configure your network connections for
the DHCP server to obtain an IP address automatically and to activate DNS Configuration,
depending on your PC's Operating System (OS).
4.1 Configuring
Network
Computers Using Windows XP
Step 1:
Click
Start / Control Panel
(in Classic View). From the
Control Panel
window,
double-click
Network Connections
. The following appears:
Step 2:
Double-click
the
Local Area Network
connection name required.
Step 3:
Click
Properties.
The following appears:
Step 4:
Ensure
the
General
tab is active, and highlight
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP),
then click
Properties.
The following appears:
