INSTALLATION
The fan shall only be installed, connect-
ed to electrical mains and commis-
sioned for use by qualified personnel in
accordance with applicable laws!
Installation process
• Precise where the fan will be installed.
• Prepare the power cord. Use NYM-O
2x1.5 mm² (H07V-K 2x1.5mm²) or
NYM-O 3x1.5 mm² (H07V-K 3x1.5mm²) a
maximum outside diameter of 9.5 mm,
depending on the optional accessories
provided. NOTE: Before starting work,
make sure that the power cord is not
live.
Check if there are any foreign objects
inside the fan and if the rotor rotates
freely by putting it into motion by hand.
• Remove the controller’s cover (2)
which is secured with the screw (1).
• Unscrew the cable clamp (4) secured
with screws (3).
• Run the power cable in double insu-
lation through the grommet (8). Enough
of the power cable must enter the fan to
facilitate connection of the cores to the
power input terminals. The minimum
length of the cable in the external insu-
lation is 6 mm (inside the chamber).
• The connection cable must be secured
so that in case of flooding there is no
ingress of water to live parts along the
power cable.
NOTE: The duct fan must not be
installed with the grommet pointing
upwards!
• Remove the outer insulation from the
power cable and remove the 4 mm of
insulation from the wires.
• Arrange the power cable and connect
according to the electrical wiring dia-
gram applicable to the model installed.
• Protect the cable against sliding out,
using the clamp (4) and the screws (3).
• Verify that the power cable cores are
held tight by the terminals.
• Attach the controller’s cover (2) to the
middle part of the fan housing with the
screw (1).
• Slide the ventilation ducts onto the
inlet (6) and outlet (7) tube and then
secure them against sliding off. The
connection of ducts is shown on page 3.
• Check the duct fan for the reliability
or solindess of mounting and correct
electrical installation.
ATTENTION! A rotating impeller can
crush your fingers!
It is forbidden to start the fan without
a protective mesh against touching the
moving parts!
First start
Start the fan only with all safety
precautions in place and all hazards
eliminated. Start the fan. Check that
it runs steadily and the air is handled
eciently (out of the room and through
the air exhaust ductwork to the outside).
Check the operation of the fan (noise,
vibration, the possibility to control the
rotation speed).
The fan may be used only with ventila-
tion ducts that protect against contact
with moving parts. If the fan is installed
with ducts shorter than 800 mm, an ad-
ditional protective grid is required. Note
that the fan user is liable for compliance
with current safety standards and may
be held liable for accidental injury or
death caused by failure to provide the
required safety equipment.
Electrical connections
• Electrical connections and com-
missioning of the fan shall only be
completed by qualified professional
electricians.
• Always follow the applicable stand-
ards, safety regulations and technical
requirements specified by the power
