■ Battery Status When DS - 5000 Main Unit Power Is Off
・ When the battery status changes from the charging state ( battery status LED turns on in orange) to the fully
charged state, the battery status LED turns on in green. Note that when the fully charged battery pack is
connected, charging is not started and thus the LED does not turn on. This is not a sign of failure.
・ When charging is performed at a low or high temperature, or when charging is stopped in the middle of the process
by the protection function for the lithium
- ion battery, the status LED may turn on in green even in a state other than
fully charged. This is not a sign of failure.
■ Precautions for DC INPUT
With the power of the DS - 5000 series Data Station main unit turned on, do not make a switch between the AC
adapter and the external DC power input without mounting the battery pack. The power may be turned off
automatically.
3. 2. 4 Lithium - ion Battery Mounting Procedure
The DS - 0501 Battery Unit For DS - 5000 series is shipped without mounting the battery pack ( lithium - ion battery) .
Mount the battery pack on the DS - 0501 Battery Unit For DS - 5000 series according to the following procedure.
Make sure to use the battery pack included with DS - 0501 Battery Unit For DS - 5000 ( supplied) .
To remove the battery pack, follow the reverse procedure to mounting.
① Remove the battery slot cover.
Turn the screw fixing the battery slot cover on the front side of the DS

counterclockwise, then remove the battery slot cover.
② Mount the battery pack.
Insert the battery pack gently with the protruded part facing downward.
Push the battery pack until the entire part of it is stored.
③ Attach the battery slot cover.
Attach the battery slot cover in the reverse procedure to removal and then fix it with the screw securely.
