UNPACKING

When unpacking, check to make sure all the parts shown on the Parts List on page 11
are included.  If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the
number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

NOTE: For additional information regarding the parts listed in the following pages, refer
to the Assembly Diagram on page 12.

CAUTION: Always make sure the Power Cord of the Charger is unplugged from
its electrical outlet 

prior to making any adjustments to the Lantern.

Charging the Lantern

Note: Always charge the Lantern on a flat, dry, level surface.  Never charge it while

it is hanging up.  Never leave the Lantern unattended when it is charging.

Insert the round, plug-in end of the AC/DC Charger (14) into the Charging Socket
(12) on the control panel of the Lantern.  See FIGURE 1 below.

Plug the AC/DC Charger (14) into 120 Volt power outlet.

Note:  If you use the Cigarette Lighter Adapter, plug into the Charging Socket (12),
with the round plug-in end, and then into the 12 Volt power source.

The LED (5) will light to indicate the unit is charging.  When the unit is charged, the
LED will go out, indicating the Battery (13) is fully charged. It take approximately 10
hours to fully charge the Battery (13).  When the unit is fully charged, immediately
unplug the AC/DC Charger (14) from both the Lantern and the power outlet.
