SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES
1.
Maintain labels and nameplates on the Lantern. These carry important informa-
tion. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement.
2.
Always wear ANSI approved safety impact eye goggles and heavy work gloves
when using the Lantern. Using personal safety devices reduce the risk for injury.

3.
Maintain a safe working environment. Keep the work area well lit. Make sure
there is adequate surrounding workspace. Always keep the work area free of ob-
structions, grease, oil, trash, and other debris. Do not use a power tool in areas
near flammable chemicals, dusts, and vapors. Do not use this product in a damp or
wet location.
4.
Never leave the Lantern unattended when it is plugged into an electrical out-
let to charge. Do not let the unit overcharge. When the charging indicator light
indicates a full charge, unplug the unit from the charger. Failure to do so will dam-
age the unit.
5.
Always take the Lantern down when charging. Hanging cords may be tripped
over or hit by a passerby and cause the Lantern to fall breaking the Lantern and
causing serious injury.
6.
Never use the Lantern if the battery is leaking. A leaking battery discharges
battery acid which is capable of burning or blinding. If you come in contact with
battery acid, immediately flush the area contacted with cold water and seek medi-
cal assistance.
7.
Do not leave the Lantern out in harsh weather, wind, or rain.
8.
WARNING: This product contains lead, which is a chemical known to the State of
California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your
model. Accessories that may be suitable for one product may become hazardous
when used on another product.
SERVICE

Lantern service must be performed only by qualified repair personnel. Ser-
vice or maintenance performed by unqualified personnel could result in a risk of
injury.
16.
When servicing a Lantern, use only identical replacement parts. Follow in-
structions in the
“Inspection, Maintenance, And Cleaning” section of this
manual. Use of unauthorized parts or failure to follow maintenance instructions
may create a risk of electric shock or injury.
