I. Functional Overview
Introduction:
The Setup Program is provided to configure the functionality of the V400-R Series code reader.
For information on handling the code reader and its specifications, refer to the operation manual
provided with the code reader.

The major features of the Setup Program are:
1) Saving and loading configuration changes
Can save configuration changes to a code reader and load them from it as well as save them
in a file and read them from the file.
2) Programming bar codes and 2D codes
Can configure to permit for or prohibit from reading target codes, select an appropriate output
format and more.
3) Configuring communication features
Can configure communication parameters, illumination of LED after decoding, buzzer sound
mode, and more.
4) Other
configurations
Can configure trigger mode, digit locks, output mode of OK and NG signals, and more. Using
OK/NG outputs requires you to modify the appropriate connector. Note that the modification
must be done on your own responsibility.
5) Can measure reading rate.
6) Allows you to view read results obtained in the continuous read mode.
7) Performs a single read operation. You can measure read time including time taken to send
commands.
