How to capture a white image
As the way the white image is captured may affect the accuracy of the measurement, make
sure to capture a white image upon obtaining the appropriate brightness according to the
illustration below.
Too bright
Excessive brightness
Brightness level at which
protrusion is no longer visible
Optimal brightness
Protrusion
Insufficient brightness
An optimal white image cannot be captured if dirt is attached to the white recessed part of
the check tool. If dirt is found, detach the part (guide) with the forward view or side view
guide hole from the white recessed part and remove the dirt.
To remove the guide, turn it in the anti-clockwise direction. Wipe off the dirt with gauze that
is moistened with cleaning water. To mount the guide back on, follow the steps for removal
in the reverse order.

Press the [FRZ/REC] button to freeze the white image.
Hold the insertion tube at a point behind the angulation section to prevent applying any
force on the optical adapter and angulation section.
NOTE
When capturing a white image, the measuring accuracy may be affected if force is applied
on the optical adapter.
