Having confirmed the dialling mode to be used by the fax
machine to connect to the public line, simply press the
key, before dialling the correspondents fax or telephone
number, to gain access to it. The display will show the letter
"
E
" (external).

THE
DIALLING
MODE
TEMPORARILY
If the fax machine is set up for pulse dialling (decadic) and you want
to change it to tone dialling (multifrequency):
Press the
key, before or while dialling the fax or telephone
number, to change the dialing mode temporarily.
At the end of transmission, the fax machine always restores the dial-
ling mode set up on it.
