Perform a Body Measurement
In this chapter we will explain how to conduct a complete body scan from start to end.
6.1 Establish Data Connection
After launching the software you have to establish the data connection between PC and Body
Screener
TM
. To do this, power on the Body Screener
TM
and wait for it to be ready (check for blue
LEDs). Additionally, there must be either an active WiFi connection or a USB cable with installed
USB drivers (see section 4.1 “Establishing a Data Connection with the PC“ on page 14).
Now click the
button, which opens the following dialog (figure 16):
Choose the correct type of data connection according to your Body Screener
TM
model and confirm
your selection with
OK
.
After establishing the data connection successfully (the status bar should indicate “Connected”),
you have to click the
button to start a new measurement. The measuring process takes place
in several steps, which will be explained in more detail in the next sections.
6.2 Enter Personal Data
Right at the beginning a window opens and allows to enter personal information like name, gender,
height and weight of the examinee. Furthermore, you can add individual comments and remarks.
If you enter height and weight, the Body-Mass-Index (BMI) is calculated automatically.
The selection of the gender also determines the schematic representation of the body while
visualizing the measured data.
Finally, to save your changes, click
OK
. Click
Cancel
to cancel the measurement.
