1.6.2 Jumper Connections
When a 4-wire load cell is attached to terminal block J4, jumpers W1 and W2 must be shorted.
When a 6-wire load cell is attached to terminal block J4, jumpers W1 and W2 must be open.
When a 4-wire load cell is attached to terminal block J7, jumpers W3 and W4 must be shorted.
When a 6-wire load cell is attached to terminal block J7, jumpers W3 and W4 must be removed.

1.6.3 RS232 Interface
The T71P has a built-in RS232 Interface: a standard 9-pin D-style female connector on the back
of the T71P Housing. In addition, each model (T71P and T71XW), has an optional COM2
connector, which can be either RS232 or RS422/485. The optional interface is available
separately, with its own instructional manual for installation and configuration.
The RS232 pin configuration for the T71P is illustrated in Figure 1-7, below.
