Be careful when filling and draining harmful and hot media into or out of the
sealing chamber. Pumping, flushing and sealing media may be hazardous
to health.

Wear the required PPE.

When loosening the seal chamber lock screws, harmful sealing media may
spurt out or corresponding gases may escape.
▶
Prior to removing the lock screws, make sure that all the pump connecting
lines are depressurized and closed off.
▶
Always open the upper screw plugs of the sealing chamber first in order
to drain possibly accumulated gas.
▶
Wear suitable PPE.

Remove the upper lock screw (5).
▶
Slowly fill in sealing liquid through
the upper hole using a hose or the
like until liquid overflows from the
upper hole and no more bubbles
rise.

Air pockets must be avoided.
▶
Screw in the upper lock screw (5).
Check the sealing media level
▪
Remove the upper lock screw (5).
▪
Check if there is sufficient sealing media.
▪
If necessary, refill sealing media.
Drain sealing media
▪
Place a suitable collecting vessel under the sealing chamber.
