APPENDIX B: X-Ray Verification Requirements

X-radiation output must be verified, annually, during regular Periodic Maintenance procedures or when certified
components are replaced. Certified components used in the MINI6600 Mobile Imaging System include the follow-
ing:

Monoblock Tube Assembly*

•

Image Intensifier Assembly*

•

Beam Limiting Device*

•

X-ray Control Assembly

* Complete Report of Assembly, FDA Form 2579, whenever any of the preceding assemblies are

replaced in their entirety, per 21 CFR 1020.30 (d) (1) and (2).

The measurement values used for these tests are not the design specifications. The test specifications used here
take into account measurement limitations and their use will ensure that the design specifications are met.
