11.5 Identify lengths and angles
With the “Calibration for the display of the distance in mm” on page 30
programme, you can identify both lengths and angles.

11.5.1 Determine distances
You can determine a distance in a full screen. It is specified in pixels (px)
or in dgt/mm.
If the distance is specified in px, you are working with an uncalibrated
function.
To specify the distance in dgt/mm, you must calibrate the function once,
“Calibration for the display of the distance in mm” on page 30 . Calibrated
systems display the distance in digits [dgt], which correspond to
millimetres (mm) in the anterior segment of the eye.
You can only determine a distance in single screen mode, sect. 11.3,
page 28 .

ImageCam® 3 Program > Tools > Estimate distance

Click on the left mouse button to set the starting point in the image.

While holding down the mouse button, drag the line to be
determined to the desired end point.

Read the distance on the screen.

ImageCam® 3-Programme> Tools > Magnifytool

Select a certain point on the image with the magnify lens pointer.
Click on the left mouse button to zoom in on the area around this
point. The right mouse button will shrink the picture.
If the image has been enlarged with the zoom or with the 1:1 function, it
generally won’t fit completely on the screen, so that only part of the
image is shown. However, you can change the part of the image that is
displayed by scrolling it.

ImageCam® 3 Programme> Tools > Handtool

Instead of the mouse pointer you will now be moving a hand symbol.

Now click and hold down the left mouse button while you move the
mouse.
The image moves in the direction that you move the mouse.
