10.6 Optimisation of the Image Quality
If you are not satisfied with the quality of the images, there are several
different ways of optimising them:

After the optimisation, save the changed camera configurations
separately.
Problem Measure
Colours are unnatural

Adjust the white balance, sect. 9.3.3, page 17 .
Colours are too bold

Increase the Gamma value,
“Change Gamma Value” on page 21
Image is too bright

Close the aperture, fig. 6-1, page 8 .

Shorten the exposure time, “Change Exposure Time” on page 20 .
Image is too dark

Increase the brightness of the slit lap.

Open the aperture, fig. 6-1, page 8 .

Increase the exposure time, “Change Exposure Time” on page 20 .

Increase the gain, “Change Gain” on page 20 .
Blood vessels are emphasised too
much

Increase the Gamma value,
“Change Gamma Value” on page 21 .
Periphery is too dark

Increase the Gamma value,
“Change Gamma Value” on page 21 .
Image is blurred

Adjust the eyepiece in 0.5 dpt increments until the user is at the
same visual acuity level as the camera.
Make sure that young examiners focus on the monitor.
