2. Panel Types
There are three different types of wall panel that make up this range of
saunas. Note that all panels can be used as wiring panels (see page 7)
Type I Panels
•
Internal cladding runs along the full width of the panel.
•
The tongue on the left most piece of external cladding overhangs the
end of the framing. The groove of the cladding on the right also slightly
overhangs. This allows adjacent panels to locate.
Be careful when
handling not to damage the exposed tongue or groove.
Type II Panels
•
The internal cladding does not run all the way to the end of the panel.
•
Note that for Type II panels the piece of exterior cladding furthest to the left is
held in place loosely by one or two pins. (Fig.2.2)
•
Carefully remove this piece of cladding by tapping the top and bottom gently
with a wooden mallet. Set aside this piece to fit back again later.
•
Type II panels are always positioned on the left end of of any wall.
Type III Panels
•
Similar to Panel I except for the tongue on the left edge is not exposed.
•
This panel is to be located to the right of the door.
•
This panel is not required for saunas where the door is located on the
right hand end of a wall.
