Introduction

Thank you for purchasing an Oceanic outdoor sauna please take time to familiarise yourself with all the steps involved in the installation before 

beginning to ensure a trouble free installation. Note that this is not a DIY kit and should be installed by competent tradesmen with carpentry skills. 

The sauna heater must be installed by a qualified electrician. 

Part Document and Schedule

All Oceanic saunas are supplied with a schedule of parts and a set of drawings specific to your sauna. The part document includes the layout of the 

panels, drawings for benches etc. If you are unable to find either the part document, schedule or are unsure about any of the steps included in this 

manual or if you have any comments or suggestions please contact our sales team or technical department on 01902 450 550,

Pre Installation Checklist

i.

This sauna is for outdoor use however the interior panelling and benches etc should be kept dry during installation.

ii.

The sauna must be installed onto some form of solid base, i.e. a concrete, garden slabs or a timber deck.  Ensure the ground area is level in 

all directions before you begin. Do not install directly onto; loose slabs, rubble, lawn, gravel or dirt. 

iii.

The sauna comes with a base and the interior floor will have a plywood finish. If you prefer the plywood can be tiled, clad (timber boards) or 

a vinyl can be applied before installing the benches and floor mats provided.

iv.

The heater must be powered by an RCD protected isolated electricity supply, check the part schedule for the power of heater in KW.

v.

Cabling to the heater must be high temperature silicon bound cable, you can purchase this from Oceanic Saunas if necessary.

vi.

Check all the parts against parts list before commencing the installation.

A powered drill/screw driver with drill bits, posi screw bits

ii.

Core drill bits 40mm (vent holes, wiring), 68mm (downlights)  

iii.

4mm Countersink Drill [Countersink all holes before screwing]

iv.

Spirit level

v.

Hammer

Hand Saw 

vii. Chisel

viii. Optional Tools; Pin Gun, Cross Cut Saw, Large Set Square

Timber Treatment

The external cladding is made from thermo wood which does not require any further treatment for outdoor use however if you do prefer to treat the 
timber to protect the colour or change the colour we recommend sauna specific wax/coatings to ensure no toxins are released during use. For the 
interior no treatment is necessary unless provided (Saunariums only). Visit our website or contact sales for more information on sauna timber
