9.1 Ceiling Panels
Note: Do not put excessive weight or stand on the ceiling panels as they may break.
i.
Position the ceiling panels on top of the wall panels as per the layout in your parts list.
ii.
Mark out and drill any holes required for running cables across the top of the ceiling panels.
iii.
If you have ceiling lights drill out the holes for these too, typically one in the centre of each
ceiling panel, it may be easier to do this from the inside once the panel is fixed down.
iv.
Starting at a corner fix the panels down into the top rail using 50mm screws at 300mm
intervals.
v.
Use a spirit level and set square to ensure plumb and square walls.
vi.
Pin the short lengths of cladding above and below the door.
9.2 Gable Frame
i.
Position the gable frames as shown in the parts list document. With an overhang of 117mm on both
sides
ii.
Drill any holes required for cables that need to pass through the horizontal section of the frames.
iii.
Use the angle brackets and 30mm screws to fix the gable frames to the top of the ceiling panels. Fixing
through the ceiling panel framework rather than just the cladding.
iv.
Pull through any cables required for the heater, lighting, controls, etc that will otherwise be inaccessible
when the roof is fixed. See ‘Backrest installation’ for the backrest LED lighting.
v.
Wire up the ceiling lights if you have them.
