Introduction
If you have secured the access to the machine, you must have valid user accounts to
allow the users to enter the display screen menu (
see ‘About the access-secured
system of the Network Printer’ on page 46 )( see ‘About the access-secured system of
the Digital Copier’ on page 56 ).

A valid user account
A user account is valid under the following circumstances.
■
The account number has been assigned ( see ‘Change the account number’ on
page 117 ); and
■
A PIN has been assigned ( see ‘Assign or change a PIN’ on page 118 ); and
■
The status of the user account is open (+) ( see ‘Changing the Status’ on
page 119 ); and
■
The job-page limit for the user account has been assigned ( see ‘Defining the
Job-page Limit’ on page 120 ).
