Clear a media jam

Introduction

The media jam indicator blinks and the message code 'E 3' displays to indicate
that a media jam occured. A media jam can occur in one of the following
sections

■

The manual media feeder

■

The fuser section.

When to do

You need to clear a media jam in the following situations.

■

The media roll feed is jammed

■

The manual cut sheet feed is jammed

■

The red button was used during a copy job.
