- push and pull the knife lever along the roll to the desired
length.

Air intake
- Do not cover the intake with the vacuum bag when vacuum
packing/sealing.
13.
Bag holder
- directs the bag opening down into the vacuum channel.
14.
Vacuum duct
- place the bag opening in the vacuum channel. The air is
sucked out of the bag and the vacuum channel captures any fluid from the
bag.

Use
Produce a vacuum bag from a plastic roll
Place the device on a flat surface and plug it into a wall socket. All signal lights
light up shortly and then switch off, except for the Dry lamp that continues to
shine.
1. Open the device and remove the knife. Pull out the plastic to an
appropriate length and cut it off with the knife. Adjust the length so that
there is at least 7 cm between the bag’s contents and the opening of the
vacuum bag. Only use plastic rolls from OBH Nordica.
2. Then place the short end of the plastic over the sealing unit and down into
the vacuum channel, make sure the entire short end reaches down into
the vacuum channel.
3. Close the lid and lower the handle so that the lid closes properly.
4. Push on the Manual Seal button to begin sealing; the signal light turns on.
Progress lights will then show the sealing process. When the Manual Seal
lamp and progress lights (except one) turn off, the sealing is complete.
5. Lift the handle to open up the cover of the device. Remove the finished
vacuum bag. The vacuum bag is now ready to use for vacuum packing.
Important tips when vacuum packing
•
Do not put in too much ingredients in the vacuum bag/vacuum canister.
Leave at least 7 cm between the contents of the vacuum bag and the bag
opening.
•
Make sure that the vacuum bag is dry in the bag opening, as the bag will
not be properly sealed otherwise. One tip is to fold down the edge around
the bag before putting the produce in the bag so that the top of the bag
stays dry/clean. Then fold the edge again before closing.
•
Extend the bag opening before it is placed against the sealing unit to
remove any folds and unevenness.
•
Do not place sharp objects such as fish bones and hard shells in the
vacuum bag as they may penetrate the bag. Use vacuum canisters for this
purpose.
