General safety notes
•
Operating air pressure: 4-6 bar.
•
The applicator must not be operated outdoors or in EX-areas.
•
The applicator may only be installed and started up by authorized technicians.
•
Lay cables and compressed air hoses in a way that nobody can stumble over it.
•
Fix pneumatic hoses against lashing.
•
Immediately replace defective pneumatic hoses.
•
Only authorized technicians who are familiar with the associated hazards are per-
mitted to repair the applicator.
•
Check the applicator regularly for faulty components. Immediately replace any de-
fective components with OEM parts! This reduces any safety hazards resulting
from the use of low quality parts.
•
The on-off valve of the applicator must be set correctly. After switching on the com-
pressed air supply, the vacuum plate of the applicator must move
slowly
to the
home position. If the vacuum plate moves
abruptly
, the on-off valve must be
checked regarding a defect or a misalignment of the valve, see
•
Never modify the design of the applicator (e.g., by installing a higher capacity
pneumatic cylinder). If the applicator is altered without authorization or used in an
unintended manner, all liabilities for damage and any other guarantees from the
manufacturer shall be rendered null and void.
WARNING!
Danger of cuts and crush injuries especially at the following points:
•
Between moveable vacuum plate and dispensing edge.
•
Between the guiding rods of the applicator.
•
Between vacuum plate and conveyor belt, if present.

Never remove or bypass the protective equipment.
Never touch the applicator while it is moving.
When adjusting the system, make sure that the applicator is not actuated unin-
