NovAtel Software

NovAtel software applications run on a computer and are used to interact with NovAtel receivers. The following
software is available from the NovAtel website:

l

NovAtel Connect (a GUI interface)

l

Convert (converts receiver data logs into different formats)

NovAtel software is available in Windows compatible and Unix compatible versions. For information about using
NovAtel Connect or Convert, refer to the help system available within the application.

NovAtel Connect version 2.0 or greater is required for OEM7 receivers. Download the latest
NovAtel Connect software and documentation from

www.novatel.com/novatel-connect

NovAtel Firmware

NovAtel firmware runs on NovAtel receivers. It provides the features and functionality available on the receiver.

The firmware download file contains:

Firmware *.shex file

l

WinLoad software utility

11.1 Firmware Updates and Model Upgrades

A local NovAtel dealer can provide all the information needed to upgrade or update a receiver. Refer to

11.1.1 Firmware Updates

Firmware updates are firmware releases that include fixes and enhancements to the receiver functionality. Firm-
ware updates are released on the NovAtel web site as they become available. Firmware upgrades can be per-
formed using the WinLoad utility, SoftLoad commands, NovAtel Web UI, NovAtel Connect or with a custom
loader application. Contact NovAtel Customer Support (
