Media Card
To assign or change the IP address, Subnet mask, and the default
Gateway IP address
Make sure you have a unique, valid IP address (ELAN), Subnet mask, and
default Gateway IP address for the Media Card. Use this procedure to assign an
IP address, Subnet mask, and default Gateway IP address if commissioning the
card for the first time. Also, use this procedure if you want to change network
details associated with the card. If you are not commissioning the card for the
first time, ensure you make the changes in a scheduled maintenance slot.

If you are assigning the IP address, Subnet mask, and default Gateway IP
address for the first time, initiate a HyperTerminal session with the Media
Card, using the following settings:
Bits per second: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Flow control: None
Result:
The Login: prompt appears.

Log on as user
vpsdseuser
with password
welcome2vp

Note:
Whenever you enter a successful command, you get a response of
value = 0 = 0 x 0.

At the command prompt, type
maintModeOn
, and then press Enter.
Result:
The Media Card is in maintenance mode.

Assign a static IP address by doing the following:
a.
Type
lnIsaIPMethodSet 2
,
and then press Enter.
Note:
The first letter of the command is
l
(as in lima) and the third letter
is
I
(as in Indigo).
b.
Type
lnIsa_writeIP “<
aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd>
”
, and then press Enter.
<aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd>
is the IP address of the Media Card.
Note:
Do not include the < and > symbols as part of the input. The
quotation marks are required.
